Being an immigrant when i was in middle school I was teased and made fun a lot because of my accent, and was bullied for being gay (which at the time I had not come out yet). There had been times that I would cry in my room when I get home because of how cruel my classmates were. Instead I focused all my energy on school and worked really hard and embraced who I really was. If I could go back in time, I would definitely tell my 11-year old self the same thing; and hopefully to those who are going through the same thing! It gets better!!! You may not doubt it at the moment, but once you get through it, you will see it from a different perspective and even laugh at it.
