My Story...

I was born in Zagreb, Croatia, and Venice is not so far from here, only 5 hours bus ride, so I go there from time to time as a tourist  to check some new interesting art exhibitions. Some things are the same- I was dealing with trichotillomania then and I still do now, fighting the loss of eyebrows and eyelashes, but with much more confidence now compared to that time of 1990 when I was often bullied in school because of it, so my introvertness was not surprising. I am a living proof  that it is possible to overcome every obstacle, including all insecurities in social contacts, and to grow up and mature into a creative and open person who enjoys meeting, communicating and working with other people. It is a slow and sometimes hard process, but never lose hope, because in that process you also learn to accept yourself with all the ‘flaws’ and imperfections. Self-confidence is emerging from that. So, be kind to yourself, and never lose faith in our imperfect world that surrounds us. Because, if everything is perfect, we would not have the opportunity to grow. Love, Marijana
