My Story...
I was born in Valparaiso, Chile amongst some of the world’s most famous beaches. My mother died when I was six-years-old, and my father was a very hard man to please. I grew up with no friends, no family on my mother’s side, and very little interaction with the rest of my family. All of my schoolmates’ uniforms were very short while mine went to my knees. I felt ridiculous and self-conscious all throughout my school years. Worried about the ridicule, I was very shy and hated going back to school in the fall—all of the teachers wanted me to write about my summer. I couldn’t come up with anything to say, because we never did anything fun. It was torturous.
Now, many years later, I am a multi-award winning author. I can’t stop writing and my seven published books and another half-dozen written are proof of that statement. Not only that, but the fact that I am able to write and be successful in a different language than my native Spanish is amazing.
After meeting Rodney, a native of Idaho, in my hometown, I traveled to Utah on Christmas Eve and married him two weeks later. An article about our love story, Why Him? was published in spring 2010 by Covenant in the book entitled Tender Mercies. We reside in Taylorsville, Utah and are the parents of three princes and a princess.
We all go through “ugly duckling” years. All you have to do is remember that you will grow out of it and become the most beautiful swan around. Have faith and hope in your future and turn it into the best for you.

Ana, me emocionó muchísimo tu historia. Ver que has podido sobreponerte a una niñez tan solitaria y aburrida, y convertirte en una escritora famosa, me deja una linda sensación en el alma. Un abrazo de compatriota a compatriota!! xoxoxoxoxo
