My Story...
For the most part, I was a happy kid. But we moved constantly, and by the time I was 18 I’d gone to 9 different schools. I was forever the new girl. Sometimes it was easy to make new friends, but other times it was brutal. I was bullied by girls, boys, even teachers sometimes. Teenage years were very, very dark. I felt ugly, misunderstood, and alone. Thankfully, college turned out to be an incredibly exciting, reaffirming and orienting experience. And even though I’m a confident television host now, I still like to think of myself as that awkward little girl with the shelf of bangs.
