My Story...
I really cannot remember a time in elementary school that I wasn’t bullied. Even as a second or third grader I remember being called “Dumbo” because I had huge ears compared to the rest of my body. I actually talked to my mom and dad about getting surgery to make them smaller because it was so terrible. I talked to the principle and I decided that I would just start agreeing with them that I had huge ears and would make it a non-issue and let it go. Once I stopped acknowledging the kids the torment kept happening but I just laughed at them and didn’t let it bother me. I didn’t have to get the surgery.
